Solar laboratory

The laboratory is focused on the operational characteristics of renewable energy sources, their efficient and correct system integration, including evaluation, determination and verification of the required parameters. Students have the opportunity to study the basic principles of design and functionality of photovoltaic, wind and storage systems. Within this laboratory, the subject of Low Power Energy Sources is taught and bachelor's and master's theses are also prepared.

Main activities

  • Operational diagnostics of operating properties of photovoltaic panels.
  • Development and research of hybrid photovoltaic systems with electric energy storage.
  • Optimization of cooperation of energy sources in combined systems (PV, WT, accumulation, grid).
  • Research into the possibilities of connection and management of RES within the system technology of buildings and family houses.
  • Development of BMS control and communication for various types of DC / AC inverters.
  • Testing the operating characteristics of DC / AC inverters.
